From the Founder

Hey there,

I am Akriti, founder of Loopie or let's say Loopiehead #1. I'm also a Mum, blessed with a beautiful li’l soul in my life. I thought I would just take a moment to share my life with you.

I have been excited about the children's space for more than a decade now. Actually, more than that, I just didn't know it formally. As a teen, I easily connected with kids—especially those labeled “difficult,” maybe because I was one too. We were just explorers, refusing to be managed, learning through trial and error.

Inspired by Maria Montessori, I see children as “young adults”—a perspective that keeps us accountable for treating them with respect. Honestly, the world would be better if adults aimed to be more like kids—confident, curious, hardworking, and innocent.

Workwise - I graduated from IIMA in 2015, decided to opt out and plunge into the children’s category straightaway. Deep down I have always been an entrepreneur - when I was building the comfortable partywear brand Tiny Toddler, when I was building the children’s category at Udaan or when we were building the curated children’s marketplace Jollee.

Motto in life - I just want to be a better version of myself than I was yesterday, and do this everyday. I continue to be a student and learn more about this supremely exciting and complex category. I get to learn from parents and children for which I am truly grateful. Children are my biggest inspiration. They keep me humble, happy and driven. No wonder I absolutely love my job!
